چکیده

This study explores the response characteristics of runoff to variability meteorological factors. A modified vector autoregressive (VAR) model is proposed by combining time-varying parameters (TVP) and stochastic volatility (SV). Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) used estimate parameters. The TVP-SV-VAR daily factors established applied series from Linjiacun hydrological station, Shaanxi Province, China. It found that posterior estimates four variables fluctuate significantly with time, variance fluctuations precipitation have strong synchronicity. simultaneous impact evaporation on pulse close 0. Runoff has a positive impulse precipitation, which decreases as lag time increases, negative temperature fluctuation. speed > temperature. avoids hypothesis homoscedasticity allows be randomly variable, improves analysis performance. provides theoretical support for water resource management under conditions climate change.

Use of the IHACRES rainfall-runoff model in arid and semi arid regions

Streamflow in arid and semi-arid regions tends to be dominated by rapid responses to intense rainfall events. Such events frequently have a high degree of spatial variability, coupled with poorly gauged rainfall data. This sets a fundamental limit on the capacity of any rainfall-runoff model to reproduce the observed flow. The IHACRES model is a parameterically efficient rainfall-runoff model t...

Detecting runoff variation in Weihe River basin, China

Dramatic changes in hydrological factors in the Weihe River basin are analysed. These changes have exacerbated ecological problems and caused severe water shortages for agriculture, industries and the human population in the region, but their drivers are uncertain. The Mann-Kendall test, accumulated departure analysis, sequential clustering and the sliding t-test methods were used to identify t...

Variations in the Runoff-Sediment Relationship of the Weihe River Basin Based on the Copula Function

This study investigates the runoff-sediment relationship (RSR) of the Weihe River, a sandy waterway originating from the Loess Plateau, and considers the potential variations in RSR under an evolving environment. The double mass curve method was used to investigate RSR inflection points at six hydrologic stations located in the Weihe River basin (WRB) spanning the period from 1956 to 2010. Beca...

Response of Russian brome, crested wheatgrass and tall wheatgrass to annual precipitation and grazing management in a semi-arid area

Three grass species, Agropyron desertorum (Agde) and Agropyron elongatum (Agel) and recently, Bromus tomentellus (Brto) are mainly used for range improvement as mixed seeding in semi-arid areas of Iran. Because there is little information about management of these grasses, this study was conducted at the Sisab Research Station in northern Iran to evaluate their responses to grazing management a...

Investigation of Sedimentation of Small Catchments under Precipitation Pattern and Basin Characteristics in Arid and Semi-Arid Climate

Splash (raindrop) erosion plays an significant role in soil loss, especially in arid and semi-arid regions with poor vegetation. In this paper, by analyzing the pattern of rainfalls that occurred during 26 years in four basins located in Semnan County, their effect on the pattern of eroded sediments from the basin was investigated. Sedimentary layers from the sampling of retarding reservoir sed...
